Bubble tea, tea houses, Asian bakeries and dessert shops in this group are usually walk-in, counter-order businesses with a menu board overhead listing sweetness and ice levels you can adjust when ordering. Standard bubble tea customization includes sugar level (0-100%), ice level, and a choice of toppings like boba pearls, pudding or jelly, usually at a small extra charge. Asian bakeries sell items individually with tongs and a tray, cafeteria-style, rather than pre-boxed, and pastries are typically less sweet than Western bakery items. Lines build up quickly after school and in the evening, especially near colleges. Most of these businesses accept cards and mobile pay and skew younger in clientele and atmosphere.

The shop is small and quaint. My favorite was the peach donut, the texture was mochi because they use the same rice flour that is used in making mochi. The donut wasn’t too sweet everything tied in just right. I will definitely be back. Plus the owner is a Christian and had his Bible out in the open. It felt good to support a business of the lords.

I can’t recommend The Mochi Shop enough! The mochi was absolutely incredibleβ€”so fresh, soft, and clearly made with so much care. Every bite was delicious, and you can really taste the quality and attention that goes into each one. What made the experience even better was the amazing customer service. I was running late to pick up my order, and the owners were incredibly kind and accommodating by holding it for me. They truly went above and beyond, and it was clear how much they care about their customers. If you’re looking for authentic, fresh, and delicious mochi made by genuinely wonderful people, The Mochi Shop is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be back!

This little shop is a must stop. They have homemade mochi and mochi donuts that are inventive unique flavors and really delicious. The texture is perfect, the flavors are really good. Everything is homemade. The owner is fantastic and the staff are all really nice and helpful. It is 100% worth going out of your way for.

Yes, try this place! We were at another business in this shopping center and saw the Mochi Shop sign and decided to give it a try. The staff is friendly, the coffee is amazing and the mochi donuts are wonderful! I got a cortado and my husband got a cappuccino, both were fabulous! I got the Ube donut which I found to be very similar to taro root (a flavor I love and was so excited to find it). My husband got the hojicha donut. The donuts were soooo good and moist and I assume that because they are gluten-free, that that's why they don't sit heavy after eating them, which is why I usually avoid typical donuts. They had other unique flavors and we'll be back to try them!

This place is charming! The staff are absurdly polite and the servings are all really good. This is indeed a coffee and matcha shop with mochi inspired donuts. If you are seeking a gluten free option(s) or are avoiding seed oils this is also the place for you. The donut textures and flavor are so good and made with love, it’s pretty obvious. Usually my partner and I eat sweets only Sundays but we avoid this place because we can’t resist the donuts! Needless to say we still go several times a week and get a caffeinated beverage and chat with the owner. I can’t stress enough what a joyful little place this is and the quality of ingredients and care. Amazing.
